In 2016, we received a call for help via Facebook from a man who and his family run a shelter of over 40 child prostitution children in India.
Unfortunately, child prostitution is a big issue in India. Children are sold into prostitution from an early age. As a Heartwings team, we then traveled to India and got a picture of the bad situation on site. A deep bond and friendship with the family was created. Over the years, Heartwings has been able to support this family's projects financially but also in a very practical way. Among other things, a large shelter was built for the children. A sewing project was also launched for women who have to prostitute themselves out of poverty. They get a new job opportunity and a new perspective on life for themselves and their families.
Would you like to financially support the shelter in India? So that school and food expenses are covered?
