City parliament turns women into objects

Langstrasse in Zurich becomes a streak zone. This was decided by the Zurich City Parliament in January 2025, because after all, it was a fact that the Langstrasse was being bought, argued an SP woman. That is true. Only Parliament's conclusion is strange: legalize, that is, in fact, look the other way. Everyone who really looks can see who is prostituting themselves on Langstraße:

Women who are fighting to survive and who have to break the law to do so. (So that their children survive at home.) Women who are forced to stand on the long road by mafia networks — including Nigerian women. Women coerced by their pimps. women who are addicted, and so on.

Shouldn't we do everything we can to ensure that these women can lead a safe, decent life instead of saying: You can now legally offer your body to every passerby? What kind of sign is that to the women on Langstraße?

What's more: In future, every woman and teenage girl on Langstrasse can potentially be bought. What is this a sign for the female population of Zurich?
